Having CIS on your own server
In rare instances, companies have a policy that only allows
information to be on their server. Therefore, we do offer CIS to be
used and managed on a company's server. However, this is far more
expensive than our standard SaaS approach. Additionally, since we
have CIS hosted by OpSource who is certified to SAS-70, we firmly
believe that information loaded into CIS using our SaaS approach is
far more secure than most company's in-house servers. After all,
security and hosting is OpSource's only business and they therefore
have a vested interest to be the best and most secure server
solution in the United States.
CIS is a SQL Database using a .Net interface to allow CIS to run on
a Internet Based Server. This allows for multiplatform access and
for many variations on how CIS may be set-up at different locations.
When CIS is running on a customer’s server, the customer will have
complete control and management of the CIS Software and the
variations for setting up different CIS Sites.
Therefore, when CIS is set-up on a customer’s server, the Customer
is granted an Unlimited User and Unlimited CIS Site License to use
CIS for their own businesses (Unlimited Server License). The license
allows the customer to set-up new CIS sites for different business
locations and have a multi-user login so that they may access all of
their sites with one login.
The Unlimited Server License does not allow the business to set-up
CIS Sites for their Suppliers, Customers or any other business that
is not owned, operated and managed by the Corporation that purchased
the Unlimited Server License. A separate license for suppliers is
available or suppliers may sign-up directly with CISWWSG using the
SaaS on-line pricing structure offered by CIS.
CIS provides three levels of support for Customers purchasing the
Unlimited Server License. The Unlimited Server License is for a
three year period that is renewable for additional three year
periods. CIS guarantees that the renewable Unlimited Server License
will not be greater than 15% of the 2008 prices.

The Customer would be required to provide CIS with temporary FTP
access to their server and SQL Management Studio access to their SQL
Server database to install and test the initial set-up of CIS
Software. This FTP access may be removed immediately after CIS is
installed to ensure 100 % Customer Security.
Once CIS is installed on the Customer’s server, CIS must be
maintained current with all revisions and fixes to bugs that we or
our customers discover during the course of using CIS. During the
last four years, we have installed an average of 1 revision each
month to CIS to improve or add new features and to fix reported
incidents.
We offer two options to install these revisions that are detailed in
the pricing. (1) CIS provides the Customer’s IT Personnel with
instructions to install the revisions and the Customer’s IT
Personnel access the Customer’s Server and installs the revisions
and tests the revisions or (2) CIS installs and tests the revisions
and will therefore require temporary FTP access to customer server
and SQL Management Studio access to their SQL Server database.
The Unlimited Server License is granted for use by the Corporation
for all users and all businesses owned and operated by the
corporation for three years. The Unlimited Server License includes
the initial set-up and testing on the customer’s server. |
